SMA is a specialist forensic auditing and investigation firm that has been incorporated in response to the dire current need forspecialist firms of this nature. We are not involved in accounting services, legal services or private investigation services and therefore our core business is forensic services.
SMA is a black empowerment company, which complies with the Preferential Procurement Policies of government, and is 100% HDI. We do not sub-contract work to any other company, preferring rather to source our skills directly from the vast potential of the South African labour market.
As a result of the obvious specialized nature of our work, we train our staff members from induction throughout their careers with us. Currently, 95% of our staff has forensic experience in excess of 7 years, which enables us to complete our assignments within the minimum of timeframes and with the quality that surpasses that of our competitors.
The expertise at our disposal is well reflected in our staff profile, with specialists in accounting, law, investigation, psychology and training. We assemble our forensic teams on the basis of the detailed needs of the client and in detailed consultation with the client.
We believe that the only point at which we can be sure that we have completed our assignment is that point at which the client indicates to us that it recognizes that all milestones in an assignment have been met.
We do not assess ourselves – it is only a client that can assess our productivity, ability and efficiency. If we do not add value, we cannot, and will not, charge a fee.
